Saphira gasped for breath. She clutched the aching stitch in her side. She just managed to trip and keep going multiple times. Her eyes stung from the wind, but she could not stop. Not even slow down. To do anything but run would end her.

Saphira heard the steady thrum overlapped three times by the wolves. They seemed to be hungry for her blood, eager for her death. And one of them was her best friend.

The girl had no doubts; she saw her friend in the eyes of the smallest wolf and the color of its fur was the exact shade of Chiisai's hair, and longer than the other wolves'.

As the first was lost from Saphira's sight, Chiisai and Trevor came up behind her. They wouldn't let her go to the left any, but Saphira thought that's where her car was. Instead, the wolves seemed to head her to the right. That's when she saw it.

A cliff, not quite steep enough to be un-climbable. In a rush of hope, Saphira bolted like a rabbit to the rocks. Switching from a rabit-like running to a squirrel-like climbing, she started to scale the cliff. Only when the two wolves came to the base of the cliff did Saphira see the last at the top.

Oh god! I'm trapped! Saphira didn't know weather to cry or plead, unsure how wild they were. She stood frozen on the balcony of rock she had paused on, shaking in fear.

Dean let out a howl and from Saphira's angle it looked like the wolf on the carving was there. He looked down at her as he slowly made his way to her as he carefully moved toward her. He was less then a pounce away from her when he lost his footing and landed on the same rock as her on his side. His claws on his left forepaw grazed her left arm right when the moon went behind the clouds for awhile before Coming back out again after a few minutes. Dean slowly got up and shock off his pain slowly to not loosen the rock he and Saphira were on.

As Saphira felt the scratch, she was already dropping. She was on her knees by the time the wolf started to stand. By the time he shifted his attention back to her, Saphira was out. At the wolf's mercy was she, for now.

Chiisai and Trevor started to make their way up to them. Trevor was in the lead and they were going slower as not to fall. Chiisai stepped where he stepped, and they eventually came to the rock just as the cloud shifted.

The unconscious body of Saphira spasmed, a cry of pain escaping her lips. Her fur appeared, ears shifted, face elongated. Her eyes shut tight as she changed for the first time.
How can she handle this? was he only thought as her clothes ripped and bones shifted. And another wolf joined the pack.

Dean watched Saphira change into her wolf for the first time as he smelled the air and turned his attention to Trevor and Chiisai. He snorted at them before walking back down the cliff to the bottom. His wolf didn't have time right now to teach a new wolf the chain of command and was mad that his meal just turned into the pup of the pack. He walked as he scented for another meal on legs.

Dean waited for the rest to catch up but his wolf was smiling at the thought of watching Saphira trying to catch prey with all those ripped clothing still on her body.

Trevor stared at Saphira, sizing up the new addition to the wolf pack. After a moment, he turned and picked his way down the cliff as well. Chiisai stood at the edge of the rock, head tilted as she studied Saphira curiously. A soft bark from Trevor made her jump and half-climb half-fall down the rocks. Trevor didn't wait for Saphira, but moved on once Chiisai got her footing. The small wolf looked back at her once more before following.

Saphira looked down at them from the rock, wondering if she was supposed to follow. The smaller one was obviously lower ranked, but which of the others was the leader? Dean or Trevor? Both large black wolves, the only differences were Trevor's scar and blue eyes by Dean's yellow.

Saphira slowly moved over to the edge of the rock, trying to find the path the other three had taken. With an annoying squeeze, Saphira noticed the tattered shreds of human clothing hanging or still wrapped around her form. With a hint of a growl, she ripped what she could off and gave up on what she couldn't reach. She padded into the forest, following the trail left.

In a minute, she came up on the others, Dean Trevor and Chiisai,, and stopped. Everything was strange, and she didn't know how to act, so she just waited for someone to move.

Dean looked at Saphira standing on his hind legs sizing her up and getting a good wiff of the scent of her wolf. He then turned to Chiisai and growled at her like he was ordering her to watch Saphira closely. He then waited for a new meal to come along before he chased after a buck white tailed deer. He killed it and throw it at Saphira and Chiisai for them to eat since his wolf side thought of them as pups still in the pack even though Chiisai wasn't one anymore since Saphira was the pup now.

He moved further into the woods as he left the two females alone to fight over who gets the most food. He hunted for himself and caught another white tail buck and started to ripe into it as his hunger drove him to eat its insides right there.

Chiisai had jumped, and then nodded a few times. As he tossed them the deer, she crept up on it, watching Saphira to make a move.

Saphira was even more confused. Had he just given them a deer? Whatever it was, Saphira realized her hunger was full blown. With a small growl at Chiisai, she came up on the deer, making for the stomach of the kill.

Chiisai blinked, then growled back, giving a swipe at the air in front of her for good measure. She was supposed to watch the new wolf, and even though she was younger, Chiisai outranked Saphira by how long she had been in the pack. Obviously, Saphira had no idea how this went and just ignored her. Just before Saphira could bite into the deer, Chiisai actually swiped at her across the muzzle.


With a whimper, Saphira backed off with blood dripping down the scratches. They weren't deep, but they stung. As the two were fighting, Trevor padded up, growling in dominace as they noticed him approuching. Chiisai backed down a little, but Saphira growled back. Trevor spun and snapped right in front of her face, proceeding to rip off one of the forelegs and take it away.

Chiisai growled once more at Saphira before biting into the deer's stomach, ripping the entrails out. Saphira growled again, but was confused further. The pup had scratched her! And the other had snapped at her, stealing a piece of the deer. What was going on? With one last growl and a glare, Saphira bit into the haunch.

Dean having eaten all of his kill watch Saphira and Chiisai eat what was left of their deer before growling at them to hurry up since he wanted to get on with the rank deal with Saphira before she attacked him or the real leader showed up to set Saphira in her place or harmed her even more. He raised his tail in sign of dominance over Saphira but it was obvious she didn't care about it since it seemed to be that her mind was else where.

Dean was losing his patience with Saphira and his wolf side was hoping that she would just shut up and be a good pup for the rest of the night.

Indeed, Dean's signs of dominance were wasted on Saphira. Eating, she was practically indifferent. Chiisai quickly scarfed down her share and stood, licking her muzzle, as did Trevor. Saphira neither hurried nor slowed, but just payed no mind to them. Chiisai growled at her, scared of being punished for her disrespect of the ranking order.

Saphira glared at the pup for a minute. Deciding she'd rather have only the one scratch tonight, Saphira stood slowly, practically starting daggers at everyone. But behind the weaponry was confusion and fright. She was just trying to get by, how would she learn if no one told her? By the time she did learn, Saphira bet she would have quite a few scratches.

Dean Growled at Saphira and conveyed to her to remain quiet and be a good pup. He also told her the ranking order of the pack including the ranks of the missing members. He wasn't happy with her at all and wasn't in the mood to be dealing with her trying to move up in the ranks at all. He padded off toward the clearing where they turned into their wolf forms. He wanted to Teach Saphira some fighting moves so that if she was attacked by anything that wasn't in the pack she could protect herself.

After a nod from Chiisai, Saphira followed Dean. Chiisai and Trevor followed as well, watching from the treeline.
Saphira padded hesitantly into the clearing, unsure what they were doing. She realized now how disrespectful(among other things) she had been to the others. When she really thought about it, she would be last because of being the newest.

That's why she kept her ears and tail down in submission. She didn't want to get herself in worse trouble.

Dean looked at Saphira and growled to her instructions on how to fight. He told her that she may already know this since its one of the things that transfers from when you change to your wolf form. He looked up at the sky and saw that the amount of time they had left was alot. He looked back at Saphira before he attacked her with no attention of harming her in anyway. He didn't know if from her human age or not if the new wolf would go into heat at all tonight.

Saphira tried to remember the instructions, and was about to say she couldn't fight well, before Dean attacked. With a yip of surprise she tried to doge out of the way. Just managing, Saphira rounded and crouched, ready for another attack should it come.

Dean nodded at her before he showed her the paw placements before attacking again from the side. He was aiming to knock her over and just that.

Saphira had just enough time to shift er paws before he charged again. She tried dodging again, but just too slow and she spins through the air and lands in a tumble.
